Westfield, Massachusetts was awarded a Site Readiness Fund Program grant for the expansion of the Turnpike Industrial Park. The city will use the $300,000 grant to fund redevelopment efforts. “Assisting communities in transforming underutilized property into opportunities for development and job growth continues to be an important component of our economic development strategy,” Governor Charlie Baker stated in the press release.

The Massachusetts Economic Assistance Coordinating Council has approved tax incentives for the following expansions:

J. Polep Distribution Services will receive $447,850 in state tax credits for a 37,500 SF expansion of 705 Meadow Street, Chicopee. The $9 million investment is expected to bring up to 77 new jobs to the area.

 

Agri-Mark will receive a five-year tax break for its $17 million expansion of 958 Riverdale Street, West Springfield. The expansion is expected to create up to 16 new jobs.

Leipold, Inc. has expanded in Connecticut.  The German-based precision metal parts company has added 22,900 SF to the existing 17,400 SF manufacturing facility at 545 Marshall Phelps Road, Windsor.  The $8 million project was supplemented by a $3 million loan from The State of Connecticut.

Husqvarna Construction Products North America has renewed its 6,500 SF lease of office and warehouse space at 6 Sycamore Way, Branford CT.  The Kansas based heavy equipment company has been located in 38,564 square foot multi-tenant building the since 2013.

Sentry Commercial represented Husqvarna Construction Products in this transaction. The landlord, Gentile Development LLC, was represented by Dow Realty.

Associated Products, Inc., has recently renewed its 2,200 SF lease of office and industrial space at 29 Kripes Road, East Granby CT. The moving supply company has been located in the 48,800 square foot, multi-tenant building since 2003.

Sentry Commercial represented the tenant as well as the landlord, Airport Business Center III LP, in this transaction.
