Sentry Commercial’s Zach Pasquin Plays Heroic Role in East Beach Rescue During Weekend Lifeguard Duty

Our very own Zach Pasquin, who excels as an Industrial Specialist on our brokerage team, faced a life-threatening challenge on August 17, 2024, while performing his duties as a weekend lifeguard at East Beach, Rhode Island. Strong rip tides swept multiple swimmers into danger, and Zach didn’t hesitate to dive in for the rescue. However, the conditions were so intense that Zach, too, became caught in the powerful currents. Thanks to the quick response of his fellow lifeguards and the Watch Hill Fire Department (WHFD), including the vital assistance of WHFD’s Marine 101, all individuals, including Zach, were brought to safety. This incident not only underscores the unpredictable nature of rip tides but also the courage and determination of lifeguards like Zach, who put their lives on the line for others.
