Downtown Hartford apartment building leased by UConn for student housing

According to the Hartford Business Journal, the University of Connecticut will lease apartments at The Donaghue, located at 525 Main St., Hartford, to accommodate up to 57 students for the 2025-2026 academic year. The lease, running from July 31, 2025, through May 31, 2026, costs $172,800 per floor, with up to three floors available, each housing up to 19 students. This arrangement precedes the planned opening of a larger dormitory at 64 Pratt St., a 144,644-square-foot building.
