According to the Hartford Business Journal, Amazon has purchased two undeveloped parcels in Enfield for $20 million, totaling approximately 200 acres. One of the properties, a 181.4-acre site at 35 Bacon Road, had previously been approved for an 819,000-square-foot warehouse development. The seller, Winstanley Enterprises, had initially planned a $135 million speculative project but opted to wait for a user before proceeding. Amazon has confirmed the acquisition but stated that its plans for the site are still in the early stages, with further details to be announced later
