Amid Market Struggles, Developer Pushes Ahead with 100,000-SF Office Build in Darien
According to the Hartford Business Journal, Baywater Properties is expanding Darien’s office space by 105,968 square feet as part of The Corbin District’s $165 million second phase. The mixed-use development on 7 acres downtown will feature 11 new buildings, including office space, 112 apartment units, and 78,810 square feet of retail space. The office space was initially offered at $60 per square foot, but high demand has increased rents to $90 per square foot, attracting tenants like McKinsey & Co. and Aon. The project aims to create a new town square, enhancing Darien’s economic development.
