Bristol Seeks Proposals for ‘Prime Development Property’ Close to ESPN

According to the Hartford Business Journal, Briston is seeking proposals for redevelopment of a 15-acre brownfield property at 894 Middle St., across from ESPN. The site, previously a metal reclamation operation, has been remediated with a $1.3 million grant from the state Department of Economic and Community Development and city funds. The city encourages commercial development proposals that enhance economic development, excluding residential use due to environmental remediation. Proposals are due by January 7, 2025, with a pre-submission meeting scheduled for December 3, 2024.
