Developer Seeks Approval for Blasting at Proposed Farmington Self-Storage Site

According to the Hartford Business Journal, Bulwark LLC has proposed a 79,200-square-foot self-storage facility at 8120 and 8122 Colt Highway in Farmington. The project, which has already received town approval, involves rock blasting to prepare the site and will feature a four-story building on approximately five acres. The properties, acquired from Wilshire Insurance Enterprises Inc. for $325,000, are currently vacant woodlands. The public hearing for the blasting permit is scheduled for the next Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
