Lamont Unveils $50M State Fund to Aid Vacant Commercial Property Conversions

According to the Hartford Business Journal, Governor Ned Lamont proposed a $50 million state fund to support the conversion of vacant commercial properties into new uses. The Greyfield Revitalization program, part of the proposed capital budget, aims to provide gap financing for projects transforming empty office buildings and retail strip malls across Connecticut. The budget also allocates $35 million annually for brownfield remediation and $45 million over two years for the Manufacturing Innovation Fund.
