According to the Hartford Business Journal, Unitex has completed a roof‑lifting project at its 130,000‑square‑foot warehouse at 121 Wawarme Avenue in Hartford, a key step in its $21 million expansion. The roof was raised from 21 feet to 32 feet, creating clearance for elevated platforms and a mile‑long gravity track to process linens. The property, purchased in early 2024 for $9 million, is being converted from a former Hartford Courant inserting facility into Unitex’s largest industrial laundry plant.
