Significant Q2 Office Leases and Market Trends in Greater Hartford

According to the Hartford Business Journal, office vacancy rates in Greater Hartford decreased in the second quarter of 2024 as leasing activity increased.  The overall office market saw a net absorption of 71,000 square feet in the first half of 2024, marking the first positive absorption since 2020. Class B buildings accounted for 61% of all leasing activity during the quarter. One office deal included GT Independence subleasing 16,366 square feet at 400 Executive Blvd. in Southington.
