According to the Hartford Business Journal, Lajoie’s Auto Wrecking Co., operating as D&R Inc. of Norwalk and DLJ Associates, received unanimous approval to construct a two-story, 36,000-square-foot recycling center at 40 Meadow Street in Norwalk. The project will be built on the company’s 3.58-acre site and will replace an existing metal building along the southern boundary. The new facility will include areas for metal processing, a garage, offices, restrooms, and a museum showcasing the LaJoie family’s racing memorabilia.
