From navigating complex development timelines to managing boots-on-the-ground construction efforts, Mike keeps our New Haven office (and job sites) running smoothly. In this episode, we talk project management, Commercial Development, and get an unexpected cameo from “the big man” Mark Duclos, SIOR himself… plus a brief sidebar about Mike’s four-legged friend dealing with some ruff days. It’s a mix of expertise, real talk, and a little Sentry Commercial spirit—don’t miss it.

Marcel manages this multi-tenanted office/manufacturing building, owned by THE SIEMON COMPANY LIMITED, with the same attention and care he brings across our portfolio. What’s his favorite part of the job? “The people.”

On April 23, 2025, Sentry Commercial proudly participated in and sponsored the 5th Annual Building Foundations Breakfast at the Connecticut Convention Center. Hosted by United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut and Building Foundations, this important event raised over $550,000 to prevent and address homelessness for children and families across Connecticut. Since the inaugural breakfast in 2021, Building Foundations has raised nearly $1.7 million, supporting vital programs such as: Assisting 1,270 individuals in maintaining stable housing Providing emergency shelter for 278 people Funding United Way 211 information and referral services Fully covering tuition for two students each year at Covenant Preparatory School in Hartford Sentry Commercial’s leadership in the community was reflected through the involvement of Mark Duclos, SIOR, President of Sentry Commercial and one of the founding members of Building Foundations. Our team was proud to sponsor a full table and stand alongside more than 600 members of the commercial real estate and building industries in support of this meaningful cause. We also congratulate Michael W. Freimuth, Executive Director of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), who was honored with the 2025 Jeffrey Digel Award for his outstanding contributions to real estate, economic development, and community leadership. At Sentry Commercial, we believe that community involvement is not just part of what we do — it is central to who we are. We are committed to making a lasting difference through active engagement, leadership, and support of initiatives like Building Foundations. #BuildingFoundations #CommunityFirst #CRE #HartfordCT #SentryCommercial #GivingBack #UnitedWay #ChangingLives
