According to the Hartford Business Journal, the Connecticut Department of Transportation has issued a request for proposals to develop multifamily housing on an 11-acre site surrounding the Stewart B. McKinney Stamford Transportation Center. The state is seeking transit-oriented, mixed-use projects that may include retail, office, hotel, or civic components alongside residential units. Submissions are due by December 5, with up to two development teams expected to be selected for pre-development agreements by February 27, 2026.
