According to the Hartford Business Journal, demolition is set to begin at East Hartford’s Founders Plaza as part of the Port Eastside redevelopment, which aims to deliver around 1,000 apartments and 400,000 square feet of commercial space along the Connecticut River. The initial phase includes tearing down a 182,890-square-foot former Bank of America office building at 20 Hartland Street and a 126,000-square-foot parking garage attached to the 19-story tower at 323 Pitkin Street, which will remain intact.
