
According to the Hartford Business Journal, Mohegan and Soloviev Group’s $11.2 billion proposal for Freedom Plaza, a mixed-use development on 6.3 acres in Manhattan, was rejected by a community advisory committee. Despite receiving support from thousands of residents and small businesses, the bid failed to secure the necessary votes to advance toward a downstate casino license.
