
According to the Hartford Business Journal, Connecticut has committed $28.2 million to assess and remediate 16 long‑blighted sites across 13 municipalities, covering more than 200 acres. The funding, administered through the state’s Brownfield Remediation and Development Program, is expected to unlock over $354 million in private investment and support roughly 835 new housing units, including 157 affordable units.
