According to the Hartford Business Journal, the City of Hartford is seeking approval to sell three long‑vacant parcels at 10 Albany Ave., 18 Albany Ave., and 1441 Main St. to the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation. The foundation would acquire the properties at their appraised land value, with a minimum purchase price of $100,000, and plans to combine them with adjacent privately owned sites to construct a 20,000‑ to 40,000‑square‑foot commercial building. The project, situated on more than 2 acres at the Albany Avenue–Main Street intersection, is part of a larger $35 million headquarters development intended to serve as a new gateway to Hartford’s North End.
