According to the Hartford Business Journal, LAZ Investments remains bullish on downtown Hartford, viewing today’s depressed office values as an opportunity to invest ahead of a broader recovery. The firm’s recent activity includes a partnership acquisition of the 420,000-square-foot Stilts Building at 20 Church St. for $8.25 million, along with continued investment in One Financial Plaza, where its ownership group has leased more than 250,000 square feet in recent years. LAZ Investments is betting that Hartford can regain momentum as discounted real estate attracts new capital, businesses and redevelopment activity, supporting a longer-term comeback for the downtown market.
