Simsbury Bank to expand headquarters
(1/22/13) Simsbury Bank is relocating its headquarters from 760 Hopmeadow Street to 86 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury CT. The bank will occupy 22,300 SF, about half of the Tower Business Park office building, expanding its current size by 40%. The move is expected to be complete by June of this year.

PCA renews Westfield MA lease
(1/22/13) Packaging Corporation of America (PCA), one of the largest producers of containerboard and corrugated packaging products in the United States, has renewed its lease at 61 Turnpike Industrial Road, Westfield MA. The 97,703 SF packaging and supply center on 6.73 acres was built in 1988.
Arburg to relocate to Rocky Hill CT
(1/18/13) German-based machine construction company Arburg, Inc. plans to construct new corporate headquarters at 644 West Street, Rocky Hill CT. The new building will be at least 20,640 SF on two floors and will include corporate offices, a showroom, warehouse space and exterior loading docks. The company will relocate from 125 Rockwell Road, Newington CT once construction is complete, sometime in 2014.

Enfield CT property sold
(1/15/13) Anngina Drive, LLC has purchased 3 Anngina Drive, Enfield CT from Precision Camera and Video Repair for $425,000. The 13,690 SF industrial facility will be the future home of Holyoke-based Grynn & Barrett Studios.

Dwan sold to Hartford Distributors
(1/11/13) Family-owned beer distributors Dwan & Company has closed its Industrial Lane, Torrington CT facility. The business has been sold to Manchester-based Hartford Distributors, expanding its operations into Litchfield County. The company has hired most of Dwan’s truck drivers and some of its sales staff.

Next Step expands in North Haven CT
(1/7/13) Next Step Living, Inc. recently expanded its operations by signing a lease for office and warehouse space at 285 State Street, North Haven CT. Next Step Living, a Boston MA based residential energy efficiencies and renewables company, has signed a lease for 4,500 square feet at the Elm City Industrial Properties owned property.

500 Hayden Station sold for $895,000
(12/31/2012) Greg Malloy has recently purchased a 48,000 square foot warehouse/distribution facility located at 500 Hayden Station Road, Windsor CT. The People’s United Bank owned property was vacant at the time of the sale. The building can subdivided into 6,000 square foot individual units. Mr. Malloy reportedly intends to occupy the majority of the facility.

CS&L buys Suffield industrial property
(12/30/2012) CS&L Associates has purchased the 30,620 square foot, 4.09 acre property at 21 Kenny Roberts Memorial Drive, Suffield CT. The property, located just north of Bradley International Airport, is a two tenant, high bay warehouse and distribution facility. CS&L will reportedly occupy a portion of the building for its own use. Purchase price is $1,700,000.
TRC leases in Rocky Hill, CT
(12/19/12) TRC Environmental Corporation, a national engineering services, consulting and construction management firm that provides integrated services to the energy, environmental and infrastructure markets, has leased 3,348 SF at 101 Corporate Place, Rocky Hill CT. They anticipate a February, 2013 occupancy.

G & R Realty sells CT investment property
(12/18/12) New Jersey-based investor Five Twos Fund I, LLC has purchased 88 Nutmeg Road South, South Windsor CT from G & R Realty for $1,825,000. The 30,475 SF industrial facility is currently leased to Siemens Water Technologies, Inc.

Husqvarna Expands in Branford CT
(12/17/2013) Husqvarna Construction Products North America has leased 6,500 square feet of office and warehouse space at 6 Sycamore Way, Branford CT for its new southern Connecticut services facility. The Kansas based heavy equipment company plans on opening the new facility on January 1, 2013. The owner of 6 Sycamore Way is Gentile Development LLC.
