Yesterday, our team had the privilege of welcoming Derek Ezovski of Outsourced Risk Management Solutions LLC (ORMS) for an open conversation on Connecticut’s upcoming Transfer Act changes and the new release-based cleanup program set to take effect March 1, 2026. Derek walked us through what this means for real estate transactions, property management, and construction projects — from new reporting requirements, to how due diligence will change, to what buyers and sellers should be thinking about now. The discussion was engaging, with lots of questions asked and thoughtful dialogue. Sessions like this are invaluable for us at Sentry Commercial, ensuring that Sentry Commercial Brokerage & Advisory, Sentry Commercial Property Management, and Commercial Development Company, our Construction Management arm, are not only staying informed, but positioned to guide our clients through these important regulatory changes. The foursome teed it up in support of the Granby Girls Basketball Team 🏀, with a portion of the proceeds also benefiting Jason’s the V Foundation which funds groundbreaking cancer research. Yesterday, our team gathered for Sentry Commercial’s latest State of the State Address — a time to reflect, reset, and refocus as one team. We kicked things off with a round of “Guess Whose Home Workspace” — a hilarious and energizing way to start the day before diving into division updates and company-wide progress. We heard from each of our division leaders, Meagan Cordi, Mark Duclos, SIOR, Mike Romano, Marcel Coronel and Chris Duclos, covering major wins, ongoing challenges, and what’s on the horizon — a clear reminder of how far we've come since adopting EOS - Entrepreneurial Operating System. This structure has truly helped us sharpen our focus and stay aligned with our vision. For the first time, the session was MC’d by Stephanie Romano Shaw, CCIM , who has stepped into the role of Integrator — the person who helps keep our EOS leadership team organized, aligned, and on track.
