According to the Hartford Business Journal, Connecticut Home Interiors is closing its doors after 42 years at 830 Farmington Avenue in West Hartford. The 54,000-square-foot showroom, which includes a loft and basement storage, sits on a 0.68-acre parcel and was sold for $2.4 million to 830 Kinslei LLC more than a year ago. The sale included a leaseback agreement allowing the furniture retailer to continue operations temporarily, but a final liquidation sale has now begun. The adjacent 12,140-square-foot mixed-use building at 820 Farmington Avenue was also acquired by the same buyer for $525,000.
