According to the Hartford Business Journal, Brady Sullivan Properties is under contract to purchase a vacant 92,000-square-foot office building at 1 Waterside Crossing in Windsor and is seeking regulatory changes to convert it into residential units. The developer is also negotiating to acquire the neighboring 125,152-square-foot building at 3 Waterside Crossing, which sits on 14.1 acres. Windsor officials are reviewing proposed adaptive reuse regulations that would allow office buildings at least 50% vacant for a year to be converted into apartments, condos, or assisted living facilities, with one unit permitted per 1,000 square feet.
