According to the Hartford Business Journal, East Hartford has applied for a $15 million state grant to help redevelop the 19‑story tower at 111 Founders Plaza into roughly 240 apartments. The 270,106‑square‑foot building, constructed in 1971, is part of a 30‑acre office park recently acquired by the Port Eastside development group, which plans a mixed‑use district with about 1,000 residential units and 400,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space.
