According to the Hartford Business Journal, Hornblower Group has taken over the full 17‑acre Bridgeport Boatworks shipyard at 731 Seaview Ave., expanding beyond the 50,000‑square‑foot portion it began leasing in 2021. The site includes 15 acres of operational yard space with Marine Travel Lifts rated to 700 tons and a 220‑foot service dock, and Hornblower is working with property owner RCI Group on potential upgrades. The long‑term lease includes an $8 million expansion commitment tied to the broader 55‑acre Steelpointe Harbor redevelopment.
