According to the Hartford Business Journal, the Connecticut Sports Group has proposed a $1.6 billion waterfront development in Bridgeport, including a professional soccer stadium. The project, which could generate up to $3.4 billion in economic output, features two scenarios: a 10,000-seat stadium generating $2.2 billion and a 22,000-seat stadium generating $3.4 billion. The development also includes 1,005 apartments, a hotel and conference center, 68,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and a riverwalk and park.
