According to the Hartford Business Journal, an affiliate of Walmart Fulfillment Services LLC has purchased the 1.2‑million‑square‑foot warehouse at 695 East Hartford Blvd. in East Hartford for $212.64 million . The facility sits on 112.4 acres and was developed by a partnership between National Development and PGIM, which had originally secured the site as part of a larger 300‑acre acquisition of the former Rentschler Field property. The warehouse, built as part of a two‑building logistics project totaling more than 2.5 million square feet, had been leased to an online retailer that never fully occupied the space.
