Rowland to Expand in Wallingford CT
According to NewHavenBiz, Rowland Technologies, Inc. is planning a 33,737 SF expansion to its 70,000 SF facility at 320 Barnes Road, Wallingford. The plastic film and sheet products manufacturing company expects the project to be complete by the first quarter of 2020.
Vaupell Renews Agawam MA Lease
Vaupell Holdings, Inc., a worldwide plastics and composite component manufacturer, has renewed its lease at 101 Almgren Drive, Agawam MA. The Seattle WA based company has occupied 101,809 SF of manufacturing and office space at the 187,840 square foot facility since 2005. The landlord, 101 Almgren Investment Partners LLC, purchased the property in 2017. Sentry Commercial’s Broker & Advisory Group represented Vaupell Holdings in the lease negotiations; the landlord was unrepresented.
Silverman Group Purchases Industrial Portfolio
New Jersey based private equity and real estate development company, The Silverman Group, has purchased a large, multi-state industrial portfolio from Rubenstein Properties. 15 properties of the 28 property-portfolio sale are located in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. The 15 properties, totaling over 1 million square feet, are located in Cheshire CT, Manchester CT, Windsor CT, Springfield MA and Westfield MA. Total purchase price for the entire 28 property portfolio was reportedly over $183 million.

According to MassLive, UPS has purchased 226 acres of undeveloped land in Grafton and Shrewsbury, MA for $18.3M. The global logistics company plans to construct a $200M 800,000 SF regional distribution center at the site which is located four miles from Exit 11 (Millbury) on the Massachusetts Turnpike and one mile south of Route 20.

According to MassLive, Amsterdam-based James Hardie Building Products has purchased 70 Industrial Turnpike Road, Westfield from HMC Real Estate Partners. The 237,000 SF industrial facility on 29.87 acres sold for $8.5M. The siding manufacturing company plans to begin production in 2019.
