According to the Hartford Business Journal, GKN Aerospace is advancing an expansion at its manufacturing facility at 179 Louis St. in Newington as part of adding a new production line using additive manufacturing technology. The project includes plans for an 11,000-gallon, 35-foot-tall argon storage tank located within an existing paved area of the site, exceeding local height limits and requiring special permit approval.
