According to the Providence Business News, the Rhode Island Commerce Corp. board approved up to $9.5 million in public support for the redevelopment of the Superman Building at 111 Westminster St. in Providence. The financing package includes $5 million from the First Wave Closing Fund and up to $4.5 million through additional state-backed assistance intended to help the project secure approximately $160 million in federal funding. The redevelopment is being led by High Rock Development LLC, which has been working to advance the long-stalled transformation of the landmark downtown property near Kennedy Plaza
