According to the Hartford Business Journal, the Archive of Contemporary Music (ARC) has selected 650 Danbury Road in Ridgefieldas its permanent home after purchasing the former Schimenti building, an 18,000-square-foot two-story commercial property that had been marketed for $2.7 million. The nonprofit archive houses more than 3 million sound recordings and plans to transform the property into a public cultural destination featuring exhibitions, listening rooms, educational programming, and community events by 2028.
