
According to the Hartford Business Journal, Brookfield Husky Solar LLC, a project company developed by Verogy Holdings LLC, is seeking approval for a 50-megawatt solar facility spanning approximately 211 acres along the Plainfield-Sterling town line. The project would be situated across nine parcels totaling 517 acres, including land owned by Bellavance Farm LLC, an inactive gravel pit in Sterling, and a 17-acre switchyard site on Sugar Brook Road in Plainfield that would connect to an existing Eversource transmission line.
