Two Cannabis Related Businesses Rejected in New Haven
According to the Hartford Business Journal, The New Haven City Plan Commission has rejected proposals for two cannabis-related businesses in the city. The two properties that received denied applications were 420 Middletown Ave. and 45 Church St. The decision was made amid concerns over the locations of the businesses and their potential impact on the surrounding neighborhoods. One of the businesses intended to open a retail dispensary, while the other sought approval for a hybrid recreational and medical cannabis retailer. The commission’s rejection reflects the ongoing discussions and considerations surrounding the establishment of cannabis-related ventures in the city.
