Windsor Locks Rejects Large-Scale Warehouse Project Amid Residents Concerns
According to the Hartford Courant, The town of Windsor Locks recently rejected a developer proposal to construct a mega-warehouse along Route 20. Municipal officials ultimately sided with residents concerned of noise and traffic being significantly increased. They also argued that the almost 200-acre Waterworks Brook parcel nearby would be negatively affected by the industrial operation.
The developers were aiming to rezone more than 70 acres to permit the project.
